Random thought of the day:

I feel sorry for people without pets ...not because of the loving companionship they miss out on, but because they miss out on the most amazingly hilarious part of being a pet owner: witnessing the insane people that shop at pet supply stores.

for example:
as i was buying cat food today, there was a teenager behind me in line talking loudly about how petsmart "murders" all the cats they don't sell. it seemed to be a very thinly veiled attempt to convince his friend to buy a cat. sadly, it didn't work. his friend decided to stick with the goldfish he had picked out instead.

meanwhile, in front of me in line was a woman buying a halloween costume for her poodle. actually, she bought two costumes - she was just having the hardest time deciding whether her poodle would prefer to wear the Eeyore costume or the Tigger costume. could she return one of them? even if it had already been tried on?

sigh...
