As you may have noticed, i haven't posted for a while. life has been super busy lately. at the moment, i am up to my neck in grading, with 690 midterm exam questions, 25 1-page papers and one 20-page paper to grade. and then there are new analyses for the research project i'm on that need to be run, and oh, that wee thing called a dissertation i'm supposed to do at some point. anyway, clearly it's been FUN TIMES here. so fun, in fact, that i am totally losing it. for example, i genuinely just laughed out loud at this person's exam answer:

anyway, i am mostly taking this short break to post because when my mom shared this gem of a news story with me the other day, i immediately thought that it was perfect view from the afternoon material. unfortunately that was days ago, so all of you have probably already seen it, but maybe you can cut me some slack here.
