random thought of the day

paul ryan was as unimpressed with the taj mahal as he was with my wardrobe.

Last night i dreamt that i was leaving on a two week vacation to india, but somehow i arrived at the airport without my luggage. to make matters worse, i also discovered that i was still wearing my pajamas, which for some reason consisted of hideous cut-off sweatpants, an 80's-style oversize tank top, and quite tragically, no bra.*

i was late for the plane, so i had to just board despite the lack of luggage and the fact that i was in my pajamas. when i got to my seat, i discovered that paul ryan was sitting in the seat next to me. paul ryan then spent the entire 20+ hour flight berating me for my poor choice of clothing. i tried to explain that they were pajamas and that it was an accident - that i usually dress a bit better, but he didn't care. he went on and on about how i was setting a bad example and perpetuating the stereotype that americans are slobs. he was relentless.

then i finally woke up.

i'm no dream interpretation expert, but i think that if sigmund freud were still alive, he'd probably tell me that the correct interpretation of this dream is that paul ryan is a gigantic asshole.



*i regularly have variations on the "suddenly discovering you are naked at school" dream, and i think this was just yet another iteration of that (albeit slightly less humiliating than usual).
