my cat thinks i watch too much television, and is starting to get kind of aggressive about it.

If my cat could talk, she would definitely be one of those self-righteous hippie cats that says things like "oh, i don't own a TV" and "i don't allow my kittens to watch television."


ok, so i will admit that i spend a fair amount of time watching netflix tv shows and movies on my laptop (and occasionally watching tv on my actual television). still, i think my cat is being a little creepy about showing her disapproval. it seems like practically every time i open my laptop to watch something, she is right there giving me looks of extraordinary disappointment:

"why aren't you working on your dissertation?"

"haven't you already seen this episode of how i met your mother?
blah blah blah bro code/lemon law/lorenzo von matterhorn. good god, who cares?!"

"NBC's coverage of the olympics is terrible. turn this shit off and do something productive with your goddamn life."

"clearly my other efforts have failed, so i am trying a new approach: the evil eye."

"fine, how about two evil eyes?
and why are you watching monk? you said the show sucked after they got rid of sharona."

"ok, i've had it with your TV addiction. this is an intervention."
